Hermes / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Hermes handles account data, service state, support requests and Hermes Sense available.

1. Core principle

Hermes is designed around private messaging, device-bound trust and explicit data boundaries. Privacy language should stay narrower than marketing language, not broader.

2. Account and service data

Hermes may process identifiers and service state needed to operate the product, including account email, display name, linked-device records, settings snapshots, push registration state, verification status, limited media metadata, call signaling state and support communications.

3. Messaging and media

Hermes is built around protected messaging and encrypted attachment flows. Messaging, media, calls, linked devices, Ghost Mode and Hermes Sense are treated as separate product surfaces rather than blended into one vague available claim.

4. Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode is an optional per-conversation layer that can reduce message views, batch some visible signals and tighten ephemeral behavior. It is designed as extra discretion, not as a claim of perfect anonymity.

5. Hermes Sense local behavior

Hermes Sense keeps its own local thread and memory on-device by default. It does not automatically ingest the rest of your conversations. If you want it to use conversation context, you bring that context in deliberately.

6. Connected assist and temporary extraction

If you explicitly enable connected assist, Hermes Sense may use network-backed retrieval or model routing for the request you invoke. Unsupported document formats may also use temporary extraction before text is returned to the app. Those routes are optional and disclosed.

7. Public site and logs

Public pages may process basic web server logs and minimal technical storage required for delivery and abuse protection. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

8. Your controls

Hermes includes controls for notifications, message views, storage, linked devices, Ghost Mode, Hermes Sense memory and access preferences. Support and deletion requests can be made through the support, data-deletion and delete-account routes.

9. Contact

Privacy and support requests can be sent to escritura.artilugios-0q@icloud.com. For deletion instructions, see Hermes Data Deletion Instructions.
